Need help after a breakdown or accident?
Have your location, vehicle type and destination ready when you call.
If anyone is injured, in immediate danger or blocking traffic, call 000 first. Once everyone is safe, towing can be arranged for the vehicle.
If your vehicle has broken down, been in an accident or needs to be moved in a hurry, give us a call. Whether you're on a busy road, stuck in a car park or the car simply won't move, getting the right truck to you matters.
When it might be urgent
- Your vehicle has been in an accident and can't be driven
- It's broken down on a busy road or intersection
- A vehicle is blocking traffic and needs to be moved
- Engine failure, overheating or a mechanical issue that stops the vehicle
- The vehicle is in an unsafe spot — on a slope, in floodwater or near a rail crossing
A few things to tell us
- Your exact location — street, intersection or landmark
- What's happened and whether anyone is hurt
- Vehicle type and whether it can roll, steer or brake
- Any access issues — narrow road, slope, car park or traffic
- Where the vehicle needs to go
After an accident
A vehicle that's been in an accident can usually be towed even if it can't roll, steer or brake. Let us know about the damage so the right equipment — such as a tilt tray — can be used. It can go to a mechanic, your home, a wrecker or a holding yard. For insurance claims, check with your insurer about approved towing arrangements.
After-hours emergencies
Emergencies don't stick to business hours. If you need urgent towing late at night, on a weekend or on a public holiday, give us a call. Availability can vary with demand — see our after-hours towing page for more.
